Odd Socks for Anti-Bullying! - posted 13th Nov

We are really proud to be taking part in Anti-Bullying Week 2017! This year's theme is 'All Different, All Equal'. We had a special assembly where we discussed what made all o us unique and reflected on how it is our uniqueness which makes us such a great community here at Arnbrook! We learnt about how to respond to bullying at school and the need to treat everyone with respect and kindness.

Remembrance Day - posted 12th Nov

Our children have learnt about the importance of and meaning behind Remembrance Day this week. They all created their own poppies which were added together to make a giant wreath and children across the school wrote poetry and researched their own family history in relation to both World Wars. We welcomed lots of families to our Remembrance Cafe on Friday afternoon and children were lucky to listen to memories of the war from family members and war veterans.

We had a very spooky lunch yesterday served up by our brilliant catering team! Over 180 children were served their dinner in under an hour. Delicious, healthy food too! We hope they all enjoyed it. Our children were inspired by our first 'University Life' assembly from the University of Nottingham. They had a great time learning about the benefits of attending university, what you can study, what the campus is like and all of the fun you can have...both in learning and leisure! We want all our children to be inspired by their time at Arnbrook and know that there is a world of opportunity out there!

Feel Good Families - posted 20th Oct

Our Feel Good Families course starts on Wednesday 15th November. It's a great chance to find out the 10 secrets of successful and enjoyable parenting, talk to other parents about the joys and pains of parenthood. There's free gifts too and a relaxed atmosphere with coffee and cake! There's a free creche for little ones too. Letters are coming home today or they are available from the website in the letters section.

We thought about how we could make sure everyone felt welcome and how diversity makes our community, and country, a great place to live!
