OFSTED – Arnbrook is a good school!
As you may remember, we had an OFSTED inspection in June 2022. We are very pleased that our school effectiveness was graded ‘good’ in all areas.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in our school community - staff, pupils and families – for their support. The saying ‘it takes a whole village to raise a child’ seems very apt, as it’s only by us all working together that we can ensure all pupils are safe, happy and thriving in a successful school.
In many ways, OFSTED confirmed what we already believed (and we hope families did too!) that we offer pupils a high-quality education, with memorable experiences, in a safe and caring school. We are delighted that during the rigorous inspection OFSTED agreed and saw this in action.
Of course, our efforts don’t stop there. We aren’t driven by OFSTED grades but a desire to make a difference to every pupil. Your children are very special to us and we’ll continue to build on this success.
The report is available from our website now and will be available from the OFSTED website from Monday 12th September.
There are many positive elements of the report, which alongside consistently good outcomes for pupils & rising attendance and punctuality, is one for us all to be proud of. The report praises the school’s curriculum and in particular, the teaching of reading. It recognises the excellent start our children have in the early years and support provided for SEND pupils. Our school values are embedded well and pupils show respect for others. Pupils feel safe and have positive, trusting relationships with staff. There are lots of opportunities for pupils to be involved in their local community.
You may think I’m showing off – but I think the community of Arnbrook Primary have a lot to be proud of. Staff, parents and carers, and most importantly the pupils, all work hard every day and help create something special in our school.
