It was a very special day for a group of Year 5 pupils. They visited the National Holocaust Centre. This is sometimes known as Beth Shalom - House of Peace. We took part in some great activities with other schools, which needed some deep thinking and reflection. Next, we listened to a presentation from of Simon, a holocaust survivor, and his miraculous escape from Nazi occupied Poland. Finally, we spent the afternoon making scupltures inspired by the values they learnt about during the day - 'Hope' & 'Freedom After Suffering'. We are looking forward to sharing the message of hope and remembrance with the rest of the school.
